Developmental Learning Center: A Place Where All Children Thrive
Founded by Murray Hill member Amy Buggle, the Developmental Learning Center (DLC) — formerly known as DLC Nurse & Learn — has been a cornerstone of inclusive education and care for children with special needs in Jacksonville for over 30 years.

DLC offers a wide range of services for children from 6 weeks to 22 years of age, including:

  • Extended day programs and summer care
  • After-school programs for youth up to age 22
  • Onsite nursing care and therapy services (physical, occupational, and speech)
  • Developmental screening and low child-to-staff ratios for individualized attention

DLC specializes in serving children with complex medical and developmental needs, including (but not limited to):
Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, Autism, Spina Bifida, Fragile X Syndrome, developmental delays, seizure disorders, cleft lip & palate, craniofacial disorders, HIE, Microcephaly, genetic disorders, Congenital Heart Defects, g-tubes, catheters, apnea monitors, and more.

As an inclusive center, DLC also welcomes a limited number of typically developing children, helping to foster a compassionate, diverse learning environment where every child can grow and succeed.
